Visual UpTime Select is now part of Visual Performance Manager
What's New in Version 6.1 -
Cisco WAAS Central Manager Integration with Visual Performance Manager -
This new capability resides in the Visual Performance Manager server. It gathers data relating to WAN Optimization performance by communicating directly with the Cisco WAAS Central Manager API in a secure manor using SSL.
This allows the business to quantify WAAS efficiencies and provides the network operator with key Cisco WAAS Centeral Manager data. These views are not available in the WAAS Central Manager natively and provide a simplified, user-based configured report of the WAAS data. Similar to other Visual Performance Manager data sources, this data can be filtered a number of ways and allows the user to simply click and drag to get more granular details.
Additional reports can be created or scheduled as with other Visual Performance Manager reports. The WAN Optimization data resides on the Visual Performance Manager server and can be viewed in conjunction with other data sources such as the Application Performance Appliance and the Network Performance Appliance to provide a full picture of correlated performance.
Find out more about what’s new in Version 6.1.This screen image shows how Visual Performance Manager's common data
model allows you to see the effects of WAN Optimization by being able to
see the reduction in application bandwidth and the performance improvements through
views provided by the network Performance Appliance. (click to view larger image)
The WAN Optimization Analysis page provides a
quick overview showing the most optimized applications, optimized vs
pass-through traffic for the highest volume applications,
and optimized vs. pass-through traffic without optimization vs. the actual
traffic profile with opimization. (click to view larger image)
